high dam road, woodhill (04-01-2012)

first course of the day,
shakey start and def useful silly mistake day before nationals to get back to orienteering ideas.
1 was ok just slow then I hooned off to 2 with a plan but ran over track and didnt stop so went too far down hill, speed control! due to getting used to scale also, (perhaps that was the small track)

refocused and 3-5 were good, attacking 6 was very vauge and unsure in low vis but insticts work!

wasted time at 7 where shouldve been easy,
never fully interpretted hill up or down at 9 before I got there Planning!!
refocused and had good plan for 10/11 easy
then missed 12 couldve improved by better bearing from rd, control also slightly wrong place though, good relocation exercise in trusting instinct that Id gone too far, clearings NOT useful
rest of it was good almost too low for 13 but again instincts
