NZ Orienteering Champs - Long Distance (2014-04-20)

Bad day is a very tame way of describing this race. I think I was flustered over what actually to the 1st control which set me up for some bad mistakes. Running through vague areas, I lost contact with the map a few times and struggled to relocated. 2, 5 and 13 are great examples of being thrown by the vagueness and having lost faith in my compass. Some good legs but mostly mistakes which didn't make sense at the time. Terrible race with over 20min mistakes from what I calculated.
